In the wee small hours of Tuesday morning, we ended up, from our community’s point of view, with a pretty good federal election result. While the next government will be a minority, it won’t be razor-thin, the Liberals under Mark Carney will not be beholden to the Bloc Québécois for support because they can find a slim majority from the NDP’s seven MPs and the lone Green Party MP, Elizabeth May.
