In less than one month, the QFHSA will be holding its Annual General Meeting. Once again this year, it will be a virtual event. The meeting will take place Thursday, June 1, 2023, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom.

The meeting will include a vote on eight proposed resolutions that cover a range of issues of concern to the QFHSA and its member associations—from Bill C-13 to how to best accommodate English-speaking immigrants and refugees in our schools. The proposed resolutions are as follows:

1. Revoke Bill C-13

2. Regulate Use of the Notwithstanding Clause

3. Better Develop the New Culture and Citizenship in Québec Program

4. Maintain Sexuality Education as a Separate Program

5. Address the Impact of COVID on Student Learning

6. Support School Employees

7. Ensure the Availability of Bilingual Services by Student Ombudsmen

8. Accommodate Immigrant and Refugee Children

At the annual meeting, the QFHSA board of directors will be joined by delegates from local Home and School associations from across the province as well as representatives from organizations/groups serving Quebec's English-speaking community.
